Help Me Get A Free iPod

February 1, 2006

Hey everyone, it’s Brandon. I’m trying to get a free iPod from FreePay.com and you can help me while working towards your own free iPod in the process. I know it sounds like a gimmick, but it’s not! It’s been featured on a bunch of news shows including CNN, Fox, Wired, and several NBC channels (there are links from FreePay.com) who have confirmed it’s legit. All you have to do to get your own free iPod and help me get mine is go to http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=27239100 (please use this link as it will count as a refferal for me), sign up for a new account, and complete one of their offers (most of which cost very little and are from trustworthy companies). Thanks! -Brandon

A week late, here’s our podcast. Although it may not sound like it, there was a lot of editing to do on this one. Check it out here, outline coming soon. Enjoy!

SeeClip January 28, 2006

I was wrong, I was able to get this SeeClip out tonight! It’s a review of a great speech recognition software from MacSpeech called iListen. You can find the video here and the software here. Enjoy!

Focusing On Switching Hosts

Due to the unacceptable loading times on our current blog we have decided to temporarily focus our efforts on switching hosts. We have already set up a blog but it is not fully ready for use yet as some CSS work needs to be done among other things. We do have a podcast as well as a SeeClip in production but we are sorry to say that neither of them can be ready by tonight. Please try to be patient with us as this switch is occurring. Although the exact time frame is unclear we hope to have the new site, podcast, and SeeClip all out by this time next week. Thank you for waiting!

Switching Hosts, AGAIN!

January 25, 2006

Getting tired of waiting for our site to load? So are we! That’s why we’ve decided to switch hosts once again. This time we were tired of all the little Blogger-like services that we’ve been using and have decided to switch to a real host called XmgFree (www.xmgfree.com). We think the switch will improve speed on both our site and our forum. It will also get rid of all the pesky ads, yay! So, although you may not even be able to tell, you may be reading this from our new host! By the way, we have a podcast as well as a SeeClip in production. Talk to ya’ll soon :) -Brandon

Podcast January 21, 2006

January 22, 2006

Hey, it’s Brandon, I’ve recorded a podcast live from my local Apple Store using the GarageBand Podcast Studio on an Intel iMac. Unfortunately, Erik couldn’t join us for this great iLife ‘06 review. I managed to quickly chapter and ID3 the episode which, although sucessful, is not perfect. I also got to make and upload an iWeb site for it which can be found here and the podcast itself can be downloaded here. Enjoy!

Podcast January 14, 2006

January 15, 2006

Hey guys, we’ve got a special episode for you, an interview about all the MacWorld products with… Adam Christianson from the MacCast! We talk about some great stuff and it’s definitely worth listening to! You can listen to it here. Enjoy!

Listener Survey (Again)

January 13, 2006

As some of you know we have a listener survey going, and we have forgotten to talk about it on our most recent podcasts. We have only had 11 people take the survey, and we need a lot more to finish it up and get a sponsor. So please, as soon as you see this post, click on the “Listener Survey” button in the sidebar, and take the survey. -Erik

Podcast January 11, 2005

Hey guys, we’ve got a new episode that covers all the announcements made at MacWorld; iLife ‘06, iWork ‘06, and of course, the new Intels! You can listen to it here. Enjoy!

Keynote Sum-Up

January 10, 2006

As you probably know, Steve Jobs’ keynote at Macworld San Francisco just ended, and as you would expect there is plenty to talk about. First of all iLife ‘06 will, as rumored, include a 6th app for web publishing, blogging, etc. called iWeb. iLife ‘06 also included new versions of iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand all of which are designed for casting of some type (photocasting, videocasting and podcasting). But I won’t torture you any longer; yes there were Intel Mac announcements. The first was an Intel revision to the iMac which is 2-3x faster than the old ones. The second Intel release was a PowerBook replacement known as the MacBook Pro. It runs at 4-5x the speed of the old PowerBooks. The only thing about these MacBooks that I don’t like is that the only available screen size is 15.4″. Go check out www.apple.com for all the info.
