Keynote Sum-Up
January 10, 2006As you probably know, Steve Jobs’ keynote at Macworld San Francisco just ended, and as you would expect there is plenty to talk about. First of all iLife ‘06 will, as rumored, include a 6th app for web publishing, blogging, etc. called iWeb. iLife ‘06 also included new versions of iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand all of which are designed for casting of some type (photocasting, videocasting and podcasting). But I won’t torture you any longer; yes there were Intel Mac announcements. The first was an Intel revision to the iMac which is 2-3x faster than the old ones. The second Intel release was a PowerBook replacement known as the MacBook Pro. It runs at 4-5x the speed of the old PowerBooks. The only thing about these MacBooks that I don’t like is that the only available screen size is 15.4″. Go check out www.apple.com for all the info.
